In the webinar we will introduce the new research by EDP, focusing on the lessons learned for portals in each of the following areas:
1) Tracking access, use and impact In this part of the webinar we will take a look at the current methods and best practice around tracking access, use and impact. We will then present how these might be joined up to share the cost and maximise the usefulness of the strategies. We will then briefly touch upon cutting edge strategies being designed to further use and impact measures.
2) Sharing cost In this section of the webinar we will take a look at the current funding strategies and associated costs in place for portals in Europe. We will look at strategies for portals to balance these costs and how some costs might be shared with other portals and organisations. Finally we will look at potential alternative models which might guarantee sustainable funding for portals in the future.
