The Africa Legal Innovation Week is an annual conference convened by the Lawyers Hub that brings legal technologists across the African Continent together to discuss the role of technology in supporting access to justice. Running for 3 years successfully, the Innovation Week has yielded great achievements in legal innnovation policy convenings and the release of annual Africa Legal Innovation Reports that explore the state of Legal Innovation and the Judicial Digital Transformation in Sub-saharan Africa.
This year The Lawyers Hub in partnership with the Africa LawTech Association and Internet Governance Forum (IGF) will bring legal technologists across the African Continent together to discuss the theme Legal-Tech and AI Shaping the Future of Justice and the Legal Industry and launch the State of Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence Adoption in African Justice Systems Report 2022. The conference will run on a hybrid model from the 22nd -28th of November 2022 in Nairobi, Kenya and on the fringes of the Internet Governance Forum at Addis Ababa in Ethiopia. The conference will feature a Coding Class for Lawyers, the Africa Legal-Tech Symposium, the launch of the State of Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence Adoption in African Justice Systems Report 2022, the Africa Legal Innovation Awards 2022, and Africa Legal Practice and New Frontiers Session at the IGF Conference.
The Africa Legal Innovation Week is a hybrid, annual conference that brings legal technologists across the African Continent together to discuss the role of technology in supporting access to justice. The event that is taking place from 22 to 29 November 2022, will give the attendees a chance to meet, interact and network with the leading digital justice and legal innovation experts, as well as engage with Africa’s disruptive justice and legal innovations.
