I/O Performance of Kata Containers, Bharat Kunwar (StackHPC)
“After attending a Kata Containers workshop at OpenInfra Days 2019 in London, we were interested in their performance, especially when running I/O bound workloads. In this talk, we are going to walk through our journey setting up the pipeline for running our benchmarking tests, report some of our findings and inform the audience of the trade-offs between greater isolation and I/O bound performance when it comes to using Kata containers.”

Bharat is an OpenStack Engineer at StackHPC and a core reviewer for OpenStack Magnum project.

Security + DevOps: Automating the security of your OpenStack Cloud, James Page (Canonical)
“I’ll cover general security considerations and then cover some of the work we’ve done in the OpenStack Charms project around encryption of data at rest and certificate management using Hashicorp Vault”
