“Kubernetes @ Pollfish – 2 years and 6 clusters later”
by Paraskevas George, Linux Systems Engineer, Openstack Operator, AWS Certified Architect

Abstract: Kubernetes is the de facto orchestration platform for running stateless micro services, but what about monolithic apps? Can you run a monolith on Kubernetes and can you gain any value from doing so? Through out this presentation we will go through the past, present and future of our journey running Pollfish on Kubernetes, where we failed and where we succeeded.

About the speaker: Paraskevas is a Linux Systems Engineer doing DevOps, Automation and CI @ Pollfish. He has a background in Openstack/Ceph deployments and operations. He spends a lot of time in openstack-ansble IRC and mailing lists. He automates as much as he can with Terraform, Ansble, bash, Python and tries to migrate almost any workload on Kubernetes.
