DETAILS ABOUT TALKS
————————————
1) Title: GitOps,Jenkins X & the Future of CI/CD
Speaker: Kohsuke Kawaguchi
Abstract:
CI/CD process has been something your DevOps engineer purpose-built for your team. But with Kubernetes & cloud-native, that’s becoming “legacy.” The rising level of platform abstraction allows all the good practices that the industry has developed over time to be integrated, hidden, and simplified behind just one practice called “GitOps.” That simplified world is what Jenkins X enables.
We will discuss GitOps, Jenkins X, and how that combination drastically simplifies cloud-native web app development. You’ll understand why traditional DevOps is not suitable in a Kubernetes and cloud-native world, explore GitOps principles and discover how they facilitate high-velocity app development.
And finally, Kohsuke will make a fool of himself by talking about the future — now that Jenkins X simplifies the CD process, where is the next frontier?

2) Title: Jenkins with Docker, Zalenium & ReportPortal. A combination that rocks.
Speaker: Vasilis Petrou
Abstract:
Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery enables a quick feedback mechanism on every change and allows earlier detection and prevention of defects. The most popular solution is JENKINS, an open source CI server, easily installed and configured with many available plugins. It often happens that test automation implementations require a series of steps and settings that are also ideal to be done automatically. It is also ideal that any member of the team can easily run the tests. Combining Jenkins with Docker, Zalenium and ReportPortal we can create an ultimate solution. The presentation contains an overview of tools, environment preparation, configuration, execution and results’ analysis.

3) Title: Jenkins: A tester’s story.
Speaker: Constantinos Skarakis
Abstract: Introducing a new tool into your work doesn’t mean you immediately become more productive. It’s worth taking the time to understand the ideas and solutions these technologies are being used to serve. Only then can you truly benefit and improve the way you work.
