We are pleased to invite you to the first Webinar in a series dedicated to the Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem (CDSE):
A hands-on walkthrough of the CDSE
Thursday, 21 March 2024 at 17:30 CET
Online on Swapcard
The Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem (CDSE) was launched in January 2023 as a next step in the evolution of Earth Observation data services. It replaces the Copernicus Open Access Hub which ceased operations in November 2023 and the DIASes.
The ecosystem offers immediate access to large amounts of open and free Earth Observation data from the Copernicus Sentinel satellites, including both new and historical Sentinel images, as well as the Copernicus Contributing Missions and selected data sets from Copernicus Services. It empowers users with the tools and resources they need to unlock the full potential of Copernicus data.
In this first webinar, András Zlinszky, CDSE Community Evangelist, will provide an overview of the functioning of the CDSE and will guide participants step-by-step in the exploration of data with Copernicus Browser and JupyterLab. Whether you are a seasoned data scientist, a researcher, a student or an individual just getting started with Earth Observation, the CDSE allows you to dive into data exploration, visualisation, and analysis without the hassle of installing software or downloading large data sets.
We encourage you to follow along with your computer during the hands-on demonstration to kick-start your journey through the Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem.
