The EU Space Days, formerly known as EU Space Week, is the Commission’s most important event when it comes to space policy and the EU Space Programme.
The event brings together policymakers, space industry actors, and entrepreneurs to share insights into how the EU Space Programme, and its existing components, Galileo, EGNOS, Copernicus, GOVSATCOM, and IRIS2 benefit society, businesses, and governments.
What’s in store for Earth Observation?
With an exciting line-up of panel discussions and networking events, this year’s edition focuses on space entrepreneurship—both upstream and downstream—and includes discussions that will be of particular interest to the Earth Observation community. Participants will have the opportunity to hear from and engage with start-ups and scaleups supported by the CASSINI Initiative and discuss novelties in space research with Horizon Europe beneficiaries. There will also be sessions exploring how Earth Observation technology serves not only environmental and societal purposes but also defence needs, demonstrating the dual uses of space data, as well as a session on the latest milestones in the EU Space Programme, including the recent launch of Copernicus Sentinel-2C.
A focus on skills and careers
The second day is dedicated to skills development and career opportunities in the space sector followed by a networking event. Whether you’re a student or a professional looking to advance your career in Earth Observation, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to connect with industry experts and peers.
