The Bertelsmann Foundation (BFNA), with support from the Open Society Foundations, is partnering with the 100 Resilient Cities initiative and the German Marshall Fund’s Urban and Regional Policy Program to conduct the Transatlantic Policy Lab (the lab). The lab convenes American and European policymakers to pursue innovative solutions to address the issue of social inequity. A cohort of fifteen experts is charged with identifying and designing policy solutions for assessment, analysis and implementation in one American city (Boston) and one European city (Athens). Building on the success of the Boston lab held from February 28 to March 4, 2016, an Athens lab is planned from June 26 to July 1. The lab’s recommendations will feed into Athens’ Resilience Strategy, which is being developed as part of the 100 Resilient Cities process.
