The ALASCA Summit is a free community event located in Dresden, Germany and fcuses on everything related to open source cloud infrastructure and digital sovereignty.

Under the motto: “Not from Alaska. From Europe. Built for Europe’s Cloud Future.” the focus of this year’s summit lays on Europe’s digital sovereignty. In light of geopolitical tensions and the dominance of foreign tech giants, it is crucial for Europe to regain control over its digital infrastructures and data. Digital sovereignty is the foundation for innovation, security and economic independence – both at national and European level. This is not just about new technologies, but also about protecting European values such as data protection, data sovereignty and open standards.
