The CoSin is a technical and political event with workshops, lectures, discussions and other content. The CoSin is not profit-oriented, and otherwise rather chaotic in the objective. The original idea was simple to offer an event that covers the needs of geeks, hackers and other friends of chaos. As such, the event naturally strongly follows the do-it-yourself principle, i.e. Visitors are not passive consumers, but active participants and co-creators.

Since political reality in Switzerland is also increasingly deviating from our ideals such as freedom of information and privacy, the more political content exists. In this respect, CoSin should also provide an opportunity for exchange between people with a technical and political background.

The CoSin is also intended to offer opportunities to get to know people from a wide variety of groups, as well as their projects in a relaxed atmosphere. Also interested people without a technical background are welcome to gain insights that go beyond pure user knowledge.

In addition, we are also pursuing various long-term goals with the CoSin and the organisations behind it:

• Networking of the various groups also beyond cantonal borders
• Promotion of free projects in the fields of technology and information policy
• Promoting a broad awareness of the opportunities and dangers of the information society
• Critical consideration of new technologies and research on their impact on society
