First time using GraphQL? We’ve got you covered! In this workshop we’ll explore what GraphQL is and why it’s useful.

You’ll learn how to:

• Use Apollo Server to build a graph that can respond to client requests for data
• Write resolvers to retrieve information from various data sources
• Use a schema-first design process to collaborate effectively with the frontend team

In this workshop, you’ll build the backend half of an app called Catstronauts. You can take this workshop on its own, or you can pair it with our other workshop, Getting started with GraphQL and Apollo: Frontend. (The two workshops can be taken in any order.)
