On February 12th, the CDOIQ Nordic Symposium will be held at Aalto University in Espoo, Finland. Organized by Aalto University’s Executive Education, the event aims to attract distinguished data leaders, including Chief Data Officers, Vice Presidents of Data Science, Heads of Data, and other relevant titles from Nordic industry, government, and academia. Participants can expect insightful discussions, knowledge sharing, and networking opportunities that will promote the advancement of data-driven practices and innovation within the Nordic community.

The symposium, themed ‘Value from Data for Business and Society,’ will feature three programming tracks. Keynote speakers include Ari Kaplan, widely recognized as the “Moneyball Guy” from Databricks, and John Bottega, president of the EDM Council and one of the earliest globally recognized Chief Data Officers, with positions at companies such as Bank of America, Citi, and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Additionally, the symposium will offer three powerful tracks filled with world-class speakers, real-world case studies, and dynamic panel discussions covering a wide variety of topics.

The event will also be streamed online, providing broader access to the platform and the opportunity to view key sessions afterwards. 200 in-person participants and 400 virtual attendees from across the Nordic countries are expected to join, promising a convergence of diverse perspectives. The symposium will take place in the distinguished Dipoli building, located at the heart of the Aalto University campus and just a short distance from Helsinki. The venue is easily accessible via the metro, adding both prestige and convenience to this highly anticipated gathering.
