EGOV2024 – IFIP EGOV-CeDEM-EPART – one of the most recognized conference in e-Government, ICT and public administration and related topics is coming with variety of tracks, where “Emerging Issues and Innovations” Track (chairs: Anastasija Nikiforova, Marijn Janssen, Francesco Mureddu) can be seen of the greatest interest for GovTech Connect. This year EGOV2024 will be hosted in Belgium, in the heart of Europe, by Ghent University and KU Leuven – both top 100 universities, in September (1-5 September) with an oportunity to submit your paper by March 15.
The goal of “Emerging Issues and Innovations” Track is to provide a platform for the discussion of new ideas, issues, problems, and solutions, that keep entering the public sphere. As such Track invites talks on topics that include but are not limited to innovation and emerging applications driven by technologies and institutional changes at all levels of the government, incl. Metaverse, Decentralized Autonomous Organizations, smart contracts and blockchain, quantum computing, Large Language Models, AI and Generative AI and its implementations such as chatGPT, Claude, ChatSonic, Poe – benefits, risks, adoption & resistance to its adoption by the public sector & citizens, transformations, regulations, as well as insights from novel case studies – let it be successful or failed experiments.
