We are pleased to announce the 8th Athens Kubernetes Meetup with talks
from the folks at Arrikto and Lenses.io :
“Scalable ML Workflows with Advanced Data Management on Kubeflow” by Vangelis Koukis.
Kubeflow is an end-to-end solution for Machine Learning on Kubernetes, with the goal of making deployments of machine learning workflows on Kubernetes simple, portable and scalable. It is popular among data scientists, with outstanding community and industry support.
In this presentation we will showcase a simplified data science experience with Kubeflow. You will learn how to:
– Get started with MiniKF, a production-ready, full-fledged, local Kubeflow
deployment that installs in minutes
– Easily execute a local/on-prem end-to-end example with Kubeflow Pipelines
– Seamlessly integrate Jupyter Notebooks and Kubeflow Pipelines with Arrikto’s Rok
– Run a complete Kubeflow Pipelines workflow without K8s-specific knowledge
Vangelis Koukis is the CTO and co-founder of Arrikto. Vangelis holds a PhD in computer science and has a long history of working in storage, data management, and cloud computing. Vangelis and his team are leading code contributors to Kubeflow and to several Kubeflow SIGs. Vangelis is a frequent speaker at Kubeflow and Kubernetes storage related events and conferences.
“Creating an effective developer experience on Kubernetes” by Spiros Economakis
In this presentation, we will talk about the tools we leveraged and developed, the processes we established in our CI/CD in order to give to our developers fully isolated environments per their needs and run automated tests in a Kubernetes cluster.
Spiros Economakis is a Senior DevOps Engineer and Cloud Integration Lead at Lenses.io
