The European Open Source & Free Software Law Event (EOLE) aims to promote the sharing and dissemination of legal knowledge related to free software, as well as the development and promotion of good practices. In light of the COVID-19 public health crisis, the usual one-day conference will be divided into 5 webinars which will take place between October 2020 and February 2021. OSOR will be presenting the findings from the Country Intelligence Reports in relation to the governance of open source across Europe at the next session on 27 January 2021.

What is the EOLE?

The EOLE aims to promote the sharing and dissemination of legal knowledge related to free and open source software (FOSS) licences, as well as the development and promotion of good practices in the field. The event is organized as a conference cycle and is coordinated every year with a focus on a different subject matter. The upcoming session is focussed on open source governance within public administrations and will feature a variety of speakers. OSOR will be presenting its work on the Country Intelligence Reports, with a particular focus on the findings in relation to the governance of open source software across Europe.

EOLE is a non-profit event organized by open source actors, as well as individuals who are strongly engaged and interested in this subject matter.
