Hola good people 🖖,
We hope you are doing great.
Please welcome to GreeceJS season[masked]. This is officially season nine and mind you… we are planning for a great season!
We’ll kick it off with two interesting talks, some exciting announcements and a few great prizes. This is a virtual event – our 2nd one – so grab a beer or a glass of wine – soda is ok too :) – and join us from the safety of your home.
This wouldn’t be possible of course without our amazing sponsor, Accusonus.
Now have a look at the event agenda:
19:00 – 19:10
Opening talk where we talk about our plans for GreeceJS season 9.
19:15 – 19:20
A word from our sponsor – Accusonus
Accusonus develops next-generation technology to democratise audio and video content creation. We think that audio repair should be fast, simple and accessible to everyone. We believe that computers are ideal tools for jamming, inspiring and creating the sound of the future. We develop our own patented Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence technology in order to enable previously unimaginable sound processing workflows. Accusonus consumer technology has been licensed to some of the world’s biggest consumer media companies and is literally used by millions of content creators every day. Accusonus is based in Massachusetts (USA) and in Greece (Patras, Athens).
Real-time audio processing – Elias Kokkinis, CTO at Accusonus
Audio systems are hard real-time systems. Novel technologies for audio signal processing require heavy computations to extract information from the signal and process it. There is an important optimisation process for every complex audio processing algorithm that begins from implementing the standard practices and ends on low level analysis of data locality or beyond. We will present the fundamentals of real-time audio processing as well as some cases from our own adventures in optimisation land.
About the speaker
Elias Kokkinis is the co-founder and CTO of Accusonus. He holds a Diploma in Electrical Engineering and a PhD in audio signal processing from the University of Patras. He is the co-inventor of 6 US patents on signal processing. As the CTO of Accusonus he has led the research efforts of the R&D team that produced the novel technologies powering the company’s successful products. He has several years of experience as a sound engineer in recording studios and concert halls. He was also a drummer active in the local music scene of Patras.
