GIS and Remote Sensing Laboratory of “Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine” (JASU) organises the International Summer School on Remote Sensing.
The course will be held from the 23nd to the 28th of September 2024 via the ZOOM platform.
If you have always dreamed of looking at our planet from space, exploring all corners of the world without leaving your home – you are the one we are looking for!
What will you learn:
- How to work on public-free platforms Copernicus Browser, Google Earth Pro, Google My Maps, and NASA Giovanni
- How to detect wildfires, their development over time, and spot the burnt areas after fires
- How to monitor the disappearance of water bodies
- How to discover atmospheric changes in air quality
- How to use Remote Sensing data for emergency monitoring… and many more!
Organizational details:
- Participation is free of charge
- Age of participants: 14–18 y.o.
- The classes begin at 2 PM (CET) and end at 4 PM (CET)
- The presentation, materials, and communication will be in English.
An intermediate level (B1) of English is required - After successful completion of the school, you will get the named certificateIf you want to participate in the school
