Data makes the world go round. Making the most of open data is crucial to addressing global challenges and promoting innovation. Through its data.europa.academy, the Publications Office is organising a series of webinars to help you explore the potential of open data. The series “Stories of use cases” will cover each of the European Commission’s political priorities and how open data can support on these global objectives. More specifically, the series will explore how open data can support priorities such as A European Green Deal; Promoting our European Way of Life; A Europe Fit for a Digital Age; a New Push for European Democracy; and an Economy that Works for People.
The fourth and final webinar in the series ‘Stories of use cases’ will focus on how open data can support the key priority of A Europe Fit for a Digital Age. Delving into this topic across Europe, the aim of this fourth webinar will present 3 (or 2) examples of open-data-driven initiatives that empower people with a new generation of technologies. The EU’s digital strategy has the aim to make transformation work for people and businesses. Europe must strengthen its digital sovereignty and set standards with a clear focus on data, technology and infrastructure. Important is to do this whilst achieving its target of a climate-neutral Europe by 2050.
