The time for the first meetup of 2024 has come. In this meetup we will dive into OpenStack cloud software, and we will discuss the use of this emerging technology to support various use cases in the area of academia and industry. To this end, several presentations will take place to illustrate OpenStack’s fundamentals (architecture, main services and deployment options) and highlight the use cases which can be supported by this powerful technology focusing on the academic sector.
However, this meetup goes beyond the discussion of OpenStack for academia, by inviting people from the industry to discuss the deployment of workloads over virtualized environments. More specifically, presentations focused on platforms and tools that can offer seamless deployment in an infrastructure agnostic manner will take place, followed by a presentation and discussion of valuable cloud computing services that can accelerate the software development process.
