SEMIC (The Semantic Interoperability Community) is an initiative by the European Commission aimed at promoting semantic interoperability among interconnected e-Government systems. The SEMIC Support Centre marks the beginning of the journey towards an interoperable European administration, in alignment with the Interoperable Europe Act.

The Support Centre acts as a gathering place for a community of adopters. We invite interested individuals and organisations to visit the SEMIC Support Centre on Joinup to explore the resources available and join our community of practice.

SEMIC is returning on 27 June for an exciting event in Brussels – the heart of the European Union!

Hosted by the European Commission, in partnership with the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union and Digital Flanders, this year’s SEMIC conference carries the title “Interoperable Europe: From Vision to Reality”.

The theme is directly aligned with the objectives of the newly introduced Interoperable Europe Act, aiming to bridge the gap between the visionary goals for a seamlessly connected European digital public sector and the concrete actions and policies that are bringing this vision to life.
